Sales conditions
1. Scope of Application
The General Terms and Conditions presented herein apply (to the exclusion of all other conditions) to contracts made between Caves du Louvre, a company based at 52 rue de l’Arbre Sec, 75001 Paris, and any Client purchasing one of its products or services, whether directly or through a partner company.
2. Acceptance of Terms & Conditions of Sale
Confirmation of an order implies full acceptance by the Client of these General Conditions of Sale, which shall have been acknowledged by the Client prior to placing the order.
General Conditions of Sale may be modified at any time by Caves du Louvre.
3. Bookings & Availabilities
The current online calendar is available in real time. Unavailable dates and timetables indicate that the slot is full.
Teleconsultants are not authorized to offer time slots other than those available on the www.cavesdulouvre.com website.
4. Pricing
Prices are calculated on a per-person basis, unless otherwise stated.
Prices are based on local rates at the time of quotation, converted at the prevailing exchange rate.
Quotes are subject to change without notice until bookings are confirmed.
5. Payment
Prices are quoted in euros – all taxes included.
The price of products and services ordered is payable in full to Caves du Louvre as soon as the order is placed on the website, employing one of the following payment methods:
– Visa credit card (secure online payment).
– Mastercard credit card (secure online payment).
In the case of online payments, this may show as coming from Caves du Louvre or Ô Chateau on the Client’s credit card statement.
Payment can also be made onsite, according to one of the following payment methods:
– by Visa
– by Mastercard
– by American Express
– by Unionpay
– Cash
Caves du Louvre does not charge service fees for processing credit card payments.
6. Confirmation of Reservations
A booking confirmation is automatically sent by email and includes a printable voucher.
An electronic format of the voucher or gift certificate is sufficient and it is not necessary to print these documents.
The Client making the reservation will have agreed to the General Terms and Conditions on behalf of the Client named in the reservation. The contract will be governed by and subject to these General Conditions of Sale. No modification of these General Conditions of Sale will have any effect unless it is made in writing and with the authorization of the Caves du Louvre team.
Please arrive 5-10 minutes before your tour or tasting. If you arrive more than 10 minutes late you will not be authorised to join the tasting. No refund will be given.
7. Postponements / Cancellations / Reimbursements
Any request for postponement or cancellation, on the initiative of the Client, must be submitted in writing to contact@cavesdulouvre.com. No requests will be processed over the phone.
All gift vouchers are non-refundable.
Regarding public guided tours and workshops:
Any cancellation, on the Client’s initiative, made more than fourteen (14) days from the date of the tour or workshop, will be reimbursed 100%.
Any cancellation, on the Client’s initiative, made from thirteen (13) days and up to four (4) days before the date of the tour or workshop, will incur a cancellation fee of 50% of the price of the reservation.
Cancellations made 72 hours or less before the tour or workshop will not be subject to any refund.
A one-time postponement is possible free of charge if made more than seven (7) days from the initially scheduled date.
A new date will be given depending on Caves du Louvre availability. Caves du Louvre cannot guarantee that the requested date will be available. Once a ticket has been changed once it becomes non-modifiable, non-refundable and non-exchangeable.
For any postponement made less than seven (7) days before the experience, Les Caves du Louvre reserves the right to charge a postponement fee of 25 euros per person.
For any postponement made on the day of the reservation, if accepted by our team, a payment link will be sent to you to pay the postponement fees.
This link is valid for seven (7) days from the date of issue. Failure to pay the fees within the allotted time will result in the permanent loss of the reservation.
For any postponement made between six (6) days and twenty four (24) hours from the reservation, if accepted by our team, a payment link will be sent to you to pay the postponement fees.
This link is valid for fourteen (14) days from the date of issue. Failure to pay the fees within the allotted time will result in the permanent loss of the reservation.
In the event of cancellation by Caves du Louvre of a guided tour or workshop, for any reason whatsoever, the Client shall be entitled, if possible, to a replacement by an equivalent service of the one canceled by Caves du Louvre or, alternatively, to a full refund excluding all damages and interest charges.
Regarding private tours, private groups and private events:
Availabilities are given in real time. Options given to groups on specific dates do not guarantee that the date will remain available.
A date and reservation are confirmed once 50% of the total quoted amount has been paid and we receive the quote dated and signed with the mention “read and accepted”.
If the Client cancels the event more than thirty (30) business days before the date of the event, Caves du Louvre will refund 100% of the deposit paid.
If the Client cancels the event less than thirty (30) business days before the date of the event but more than seven (7) business days before the date of the event, the Client will forfeit 100% of the deposit paid.
If the Client cancels the event less than seven (7) business days before the date of the event, the Client will forfeit 100% of the deposit paid and all outstanding payments, including the full remaining balance, will be due within three (3) business days.
All event balance payments are to be paid in full no later than seven (7) business days before the event.
The same conditions apply to postponements.
In the case an event needs to be postponed because of government restrictions, the event will be rescheduled with no additional fees.
8. Gift Vouchers
Caves du Louvre gift vouchers are valid for one (1) year from the date of purchase. These are intended for people of legal age (18 years old at the time of the tasting). All gift vouchers are non-refundable for any reason.
Registrations for tours and workshops made with a gift voucher purchased on our website or through one of our resellers must be arranged in advance on our website under the “gift voucher” section. Reservations should be made at least 24 hours before the desired date, within the limit of available slots.
Once a date has been reserved with a gift voucher, it becomes non-modifiable and non-exchangeable for any reason.
9. Our Responsibilities
All Clients for whom reservations are made acknowledge that Caves du Louvre and its agents and suppliers related to reservations shall not be liable for any injury, damage, loss, accident, delay or irregularity.
In addition, Caves du Louvre, its agents and suppliers are not responsible for any illness, theft, labour disputes, breakdowns, government restrictions, acts of war and terrorism, weather conditions, or for any mishap or accident beyond their control.
Caves du Louvre reserves the right to cancel, modify or replace any service and to refuse any new reservation, at any time, for any reason whatsoever, including insufficient numbers of participants (without limitation).
10. Confidentiality and Security of Your Information and Personal Data
The General Data Protection Regulation n°2016/679 of April 27, 2016 (GDPR) reinforces the Client’s rights and creates new ones. In this regard Caves du Louvre informs the Client that Caves du Louvre uses and stores the Client’s data in accordance with the regulations in force. Caves du Louvre is committed to maintaining confidentiality and a high level of protection for all of the Client’s data. The processing of the Client’s data is subject to the Client’s consent. The Client can remove it by sending Caves du Louvre a request in writing.
In accordance with the GDPR, the Client has a right of access, rectification, erasure and opposition to the processing of their personal data as well as a right to the limitation and portability of their data. The Client can exercise their rights by sending Caves du Louvre an email at contact@cavesdulouvre.com.
